Lauren created Caffeinated Life Lessons – as a cozy corner of the internet to laugh, learn, reflect, and bond in the chaos and magic of everyday life, and she wanted Alli alongside her for some coffee and conversation.

I’m the somewhat been-there-done-that big sister—an educator by profession, a storyteller at heart, and a mom to two teen girls who keep me humble, inspired, and occasionally questioning everything. While my girls are growing more independent (the oldest is starting college in the fall!!) I find myself turning inward, exploring who I am beyond my career and beyond being “Mom.” This blog is part of that journey— I am craving a new creative outlet. And this one is filled with purpose, connection, growth, humor, and a few too many cups of coffee… as if there is such a thing…

I’m the currently-in-the-trenches mom of two school-aged kiddos, juggling spelling tests, snack duty, and the never-ending hunt for missing socks. I bring the “now” energy to the blog— what’s current with school age kids, the everyday wins, the hilarious fails, and the reality of parenting in real-time.
